Hello! I'm Kusal

 

I am a Mechanical Engineer currently reading for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. My area of specialization is Robotics.

 

I graduated from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2017 with a First class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering. After serving a year at the University of Peradeniya as a Temporary Lecturer, in 2017, I joined the Intelligent Systems Laboratory of the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. In 2020 I obtained my M.Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering. My thesis was based on indoor localization and place recognition using Google Street View.

My fields of interest include Mechanical design, Robotics, Control, Mechanics, Mechatronics and Computer Vision. My current research is based on Indoor Localization.
